North Carolina Update

Alright, next update of the summer. After the great trip in New York, Porter and I went to North Carolina! What is in North Carolina do you ask? Friends AND family! My dad's side of the family all live in North Carolina, so we went and visited them, and that was spectacular! We visited Grandmommy, Aunt Karen, and Cousin Hanna. There was a lot of talking, lots of eating, and lots of laughing! I hadn't been to Grandmommy's house for a long time, and it was nice to be around all the books, the pictures, and the same great smells and memories that go along with her house. They of COURSE looooved Porter. It's the first great-grandbaby on the Kesler side, and he sure did like playin and talkin with his great-grandmommy! All in all, it was a great visit!

ALSO, were friends! My old roommate Brittany Ruch lives in NC (like, 3 miles away from Grandmommy), so we stayed with her and her sister Tanja. Tanja is a great cook, so we ate like kings every day we were there. Brittany showed us around the great state of NC, and her neat town of Durham and the surrounding area. Everything with her is a blast--even going to 16 different stores to get inexpensive formula! My friend Kate lives in NYC, and that isn't very far from NC so she came down for a few days! We went to a farmer's market (there are pictures in an earlier post), and then to the beach! It was a great trip! We also went on a walk through the Duke gardens during Sunday School (I don't actually remember what the purpose of that was, but it certainly was enjoyable!)

Rachel Zoe

I know---I need to update more, but just an announcement that the season premier of the Rachel Zoe Project on Bravo was on last night and it was soooo good. I die for that show...and for her. Here is some of her work:

Shaving Cream Finger/Body Painting

My mom had us finger paint with shaving cream one time while we were little and still living in Utah. I just bought Jordan some new shaving cream, and it reminded me of that so I decided to do it with Porter! He slipped and slid around the kitchen room floor and just thought it was radical. Great job Mom!

He is just GORGEOUS

I could not RESIST putting this for all the world to see--in my opinion he is the cutest little boy that has ever been--EVER! Ah, how he loves water...

Next Update---NY

The next part of our summer was our trip to New York!

Callie got married, so we went out for that! Her colors were plum and gold, and we were planning on having it at the Eckenfelder's home, which was the same place we had our NY reception, but it rained so we had it at the church instead. It was really beautiful. This is the only picture I have of it--I need to get more from my Grandma, but the whole thing was so beautiful. We put icicle lights under the white fabric, and put purple fabric over the lights going upwards so it was just a purple glow--it was so pretty. I don't have any pictures of Callie either, but if you go on her facebook or on Rachel's facebook then I'm pretty sure there are pictures there.

We went and visited the Geers, which was so fun.

We really just had a great time. We went on a "girl's day" with Callie and Mom, went to a Madrigal dinner, hung out with Will and his best friend Paul, just hung out and played, had a great lunch with Katherine Fritz and went to a great kid's store and bookstore, went to Great Escape with Dan, and had family pictures taken. I'll put pictures of all of those things (except for the Madrigal dinner), but you can just know that it was a GREAT time.

I'm too tired to talk about the North Carolina trip just yet---that's for next time!

500 Days of Summer

Go here to Sarah Calder's blog, read the quote, and then click on the link that goes along with it. I am psyched about this movie. Good job, Sarah, for having good taste.

Mayfields, President Eyring, and Haircuts

Grandma Mayfield and Aunt Jan went to Yellowstone for a little R&R in the wild and came to stay with us the Monday and Tuesday! It was a blast to have them here and just have them in my home! They spent a lot of time playing with Porter!

Next was when President Eyring came to the school for a devotional! We called in a couple favors and got tickets for Jordan, our friend Brittany Keller, and me (even though none of us are students). It was great to be there and so cool to see him--what a cool guy. Go here for his talk--listen to it because it's 100x better than just reading it..intonation is key. We were really hoping for the baby to be able to meet him, but they said he had a busy schedule or something and wasn't going to shake people's hands. Oh well...

Last was the haircut nonsense. Don't get me wrong--I love my hair, but I can't believe it actually happened. I've been thinking about getting my hair cut for a long time, but every time I cut my hair I just hate it and wish I had my long hair back, so I didn't ever get it cut. Well, my friend Kristi, who I watch her baby a couple times a week when she goes to her last class before graduating, has been wanting to cut her hair so she's been looking in magazines and online to see different styles. Well, then Brittany came along and mentioned how she wanted her hair cut short, and all of a sudden, we were all getting our hair cut the next day at the hair school in town...ahhh, mob mentality. I didn't think I'd actually do it, but I put my name down just in case. So I looked around online to see if there were any ideas of what I wanted for my hair, and found this picture of Katie Holmes that I really liked. However, we also wanted to donate our hair to Locks of Love and it has to be 10 inches, and 10 inches was right at the base of my hairline, so we cut it all off!

Ranch

Our next update is going to the Ranch in Wayan, Idaho for the first time with the baby. It was a blast. It was great to bring him to a place we both have a deep love for. We had him meet everyone there, both in the neighborhood and at church, and of course they all thought he was adorable. We took him four-wheeling while he was strapped in his carrier, and he liked being able to look around so much, but in the end just fell asleep.

A few weeks later, Grandma and Grandpa Bloxham came, and we brought the Sauser's along with us to work (you can see his working wounds on their blog). Later that week Aunt Theresa, Uncle Trav with a few of his boys, and our friend Brittany came up. It was great to hang out with everyone. Another time people were up, we went to the fish place and saw Up (which is a great movie, but not what I would call a kid's movie).

Also, our blog list was deleted when we changed our site address, so if we've forgotten you, it isn't on purpose, so tell us!

Taylor Swift and Coldplay---who could want more?

Our friends Dallin and Court introduced this sweet song to us, and I've been listening to it on repeat the whole time I've been cleaning the kitchen today! It's by the same guy who did "Waterfall" on the 2000 EFY cd.

Hello!

Welcome to our new site! It isn't going to be any different, let's be honest...but people were having a tough time with spelling the word "obsesses" so I changed it to pbandjbodily because that's who we are!

Alright, and now for a little update...

In April we went to California for Jordan's brother's baby blessing. Wyatt was born just a month after Porter, and he is adorable. It was a good trip, and it was fun for everyone to be together. The whole Bodily/Bloxham family was there!

As I was looking through our pictures, I realized I don't have a single one of Kim. Sorry Kim!

Next were camping extravaganzas. They were a blast, and the baby was AWESOME every time we went! We went up to Warm River, which is at the base of Mesa Falls. We went with our friends Dallin, Courtney, Abe, Andrea, and Andrea's cousin Court. It was super fun (I don't have any pictures of Dallin and Courtney--sorry!)--we went to Mesa Falls in the morning, and it was so fun to go up there again!

The one with all the rocks is the cliff we made an assembly line on and handed the baby up the cliff cause we didn't think it'd be safe for one of us to carry him on our back, just in case we fall.

Alright, the house needs to be clean and I have to make dinner, so that's enough of the updates for now, but that's a little more caught up than before!
