I've never liked murals inside the house, but I think this is just beautiful.

How do they know?!?!
I think one of the first questions I'm asking Heavenly Father when I die is how the heck babies know the difference between sitting down and standing up when you're holding them? It's like magic...

Not My Baby Things
So, just a couple of baby update things about not my baby.
First, Saturday I got to go to my friend Jennie's baby shower, and it was suuuuper fun. I got to be a part of that by making the food! I didn't remember to take pictures of all the dishes, but they were all a success! Just go to her blog to see the pictures and read about it. It was great.
Second order of business, I am an aunt! Garrett and Kim finally had their baby last night, and we are so excited for them! Here's a picture they sent us when he was born--what a cute little kid! His name is Wyatt Miles (I don't know if that's actually how they're going to spell it) and he was 8 lbs 7 oz--poor Kim! He is gonna beat the crap out of our kid, because Porter's smaller than him now and he's a month old! Congrats to them!

25 Things
I finally got tagged with this 25 Things deal, so here are 25 things about me. I'm not going to technically tag anyone but if you want to write 25 things about yourself, consider yourself tagged and I'm excited to read 25 things about you on your blog!
1-I’m getting my degree in physics because Jordan says I have to—I don’t think it’s worth it.
2-I would like to end up in Portland but I don’t ever think we will.
3-The first 5 hours after my water broke I laid in bed watching Arrested Development online so the time would pass faster.
4-The career I would choose if I was going to go to school for fun would to be a chef.
5-My kid’s probably going to be super screwed up because I’m speaking French to him and also doing sign language.
6-I’m not that good at “coordinating” things like bedroom colors or clothes. I just make everything monochromatic and feel like that’s pretty safe.
7-I hate souvenirs, but if I could collect something it would be teapots—I don’t know what it is about them, but I just can’t get enough (I can’t bring myself to buy anymore than I already have because I already have two and only use one).
8-I feel like a grown-up.
9-I think something’s funny when it’s unexpected or creative. Someone getting hit in the head with a tennis ball at a tennis tournament, not that funny. Someone getting hit in the head with a microwave anywhere but in a kitchen—hilarious because who would have expected a microwave?
10-Jordan won’t come to my physics parties at school anymore because he doesn’t think I’m funny when I’m with all the physics kids.
11-I love the physics jokes, especially when people make Star Wars/Star Trek/Lord of the Rings/Harry Potter/any video game combination jokes—kills me.
12-The only people I think look good in dark blue shirts are blondes.
13-Having a baby made me love books that rhyme. Dr. Seuss is my new favorite thing.
14-Stranger than Fiction is my favorite movie of all time for an infinite amount of reasons, a few of them being that I’m obsessed with Maggie Gyllenhaal (and wish I was her), and I think Will Ferrill is the funniest man of all time (because he says things that are unexpected).
15-I like taking naps with the baby because I think he’s most happy when he feels like he’s in the womb and that’s the closest thing I can do to put him back in there.
16-I love the color gray.
17-I love cooking for Jordan sweet treats because he likes them the most, but I hate cooking soup for him because he doesn’t like it (even though I love soup).
18-My favorite girl’s name is Margaret because I used to babysit a girl named Margaret and that’s what I picture my daughter to look like, but our first girl’s name is going to be Emma—I’m hoping to win with our next girl and name her Olivia (Jordan really just doesn’t like the name Margaret).
19-I love dark wood.
20-High wasted pencil skirts are my favorite kind of skirts right now.
21-I want money so I can do nice things for people when they have bad days and give it to people when they don’t have anymore money in their bank accounts.
22-My eyelashes are completely blonde and straight.
23-I wish I could wear a bathing suit all the time, everyday, and just have the thermostat up to 85.
24-I started singing to the baby as soon as I found out I was pregnant.
25-I secretly put grape seed oil into Jordan’s drinks because it’s good for his heart and I want to keep him as long as I can.
